The mutable signs are Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius. These are the last signs of each season and are designed to blend, change and mutate the energies to end one cycle and prepare for the next. These signs are very familiar with "going with the flow", "making like a tree in the wind and bending" and "being cool" and "rolling with the punches". They know how to "take the good with the bad and the bad with the good" and make something wonderful of it. They are all philosophers at heart about how life works. It’s usually the fixed signs that have the biggest trouble with change. Of course, we always need to take into account all the other planets in your chart that make up the whole person. But suffice it to say, if you have these signs prominently in your charts, prepare for adjustments and transformations in those areas of your lives.

Yes, Pisceans will be energized this year, and as Uranus begins to make contacts to your Sun, depending on when you’re born, over the next 7 years, your lives will change dramatically, to some in the most magical of ways. On an individual level, Mars can activate you into taking action in several areas of your lives. Make the most of it’s energy to accomplish things you may not have had the energy to do before.

What’s interesting about Pisces is that it is a sign that knows no boundaries. It is essentially all the energies of all of the others star signs blended into one. Pisces is the Ocean of Cosmic and Universal Consciousness. It’s opposite sign Virgo, draws the boundaries along with its neighboring squares, Gemini and Sagittarius are both signs of judgment in traditional astrology. Virgo is the Critic, Gemini the Judge, and Sagittarius the Lawmaker. When these signs are aspected by the mutable, unconditionally loving Pisces, these signs are challenged to soften their positions while Pisces reflects back to them the importance of one’s connection to Spirit, and so Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius receive the necessary glimpses into the realms of Spirit where judgments don’t exist. It’s an interesting Cosmic Dance to say the least.

Virgos get the opposition from Uranus, which means they receive jolts from this bright cosmic mirror to let go of their need to control and their need to be perfect. Their ideals of perfection will shift as they realize over this period that things are never really what they seem, and some things will never be neatly put into a box or logically and scientifically explained. Those who have control issues will have a very hard time staying in control when Uranus opposes your Virgo planets.

Uranus is known as the Tower card in the Tarot. It is the crisis, the shock, the sudden change that can be liberating for those who are in bondage to the king who controls the tower, but can be devastating for the king who thinks he’s in control.

Time to heal the family. Saturn in Cancer is about the home, the hearth, tribal consciousness, and getting back in touch with one’s ancestry. Genealogy, will begin to really take off during Saturn’s transit through Cancer. The need to get in touch with one’s roots. The emphasis will be on feelings, emotions, the tremendous power of the emotional body. There will a growing sense of responsibility towards family. Saturn in Cancer will also produce more orphans due to natural disasters and wars, and people who never even thought of adopting, will feel ‘moved’ to adopt.

Fortunately with the entrance of Saturn into Cancer and Uranus into Pisces, "water" energy comes back into our Cosmic Picture, which we have been bereft lately in the outer planets. Our drought situations level out as we will begin to see much more precipitation. Unfortunately, we could also get too much of a good thing, as the sudden storms and water levels rise in areas that really don’t need it. Uranus in Pisces has the potential for intense thunderstorms and devastating hurricanes.

The Outer Limits

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are the "Outer Limits" of our Solar System. The Vedic Astrologers don’t even recognize them while casting horoscopes, and for centuries Astrologers and Astronomers didn’t even know they existed. Since their discoveries, Western Astrologers have incorporated them in casting horoscopes. This represents our expanding consciousness and evolution as souls journeying around the Sun. While they each transit through everyone’s individual charts, affecting major shifts and passages through time, they also rule over the "Collective Soul".

Uranus: The Cosmic Rebel Rouser

Uranus, planet of sudden changes, ruler of Aquarius moves into Pisces this March for a 7 year period, however, it will retrograde back into Aquarius at the end of the year (September 14 – December 30, 2003) for one last trip over its final degrees through it's home sign for another 84 years. Uranus in Pisces represents a major shift in consciousness, particularly in the areas of belief systems (a Piscean thing). Uranus is the great system’s buster, the cosmic rebel rouser. It rules over Aquarius which is all about liberation. With Uranus transits, we can always expect the unexpected. Uranus is the revolutionary and in Pisces, it’s about the liberation of Spirit from the bondage of rigid beliefs and religious fanaticism. Events will play out that will cause many to break away from traditional religions and old patterns of beliefs systems cross the board. After witnessing world conflict over what appears to be two different types of religious fanatics at war with one another, we will begin to see more people abandon their associations with organized religion. Uranian Light pierces through the "Piscean" gullibility.

Pisces is the sign that wants to lose itself in the spiritual, the soulful, the mystical, the musical, the poetic, -- the Divine. It virtually lives for its connection to Soul and Spirit. Pisces is, however, the sign of addiction. Deepak Chopra once said, that "addictive personalities are really seeking a deeper and more fulfilling connection with the Divine." So, during Uranus in Pisces, we can also expect some trends towards and more awareness of addictions of all kinds along with the crisis that leads towards liberation.

During Uranus is Pisces, we will see the Mystic emerge from its ancient soup of religious suppression. There will be an increase of psychic, mystical and supernatural experiences all around the globe, whether it may be communication with a deceased loved one, contact with aliens or Extra Terrestrials or even communication with a parallel universe, the point is that the veil between our world and their worlds is thinning…tearing, melting and at times even breaking down completely.

Uranus in Pisces will bring down more "Light" into our collective consciousness, however, it happens in the classic Uranian style which is a kind of ‘Lightening Bolt’ way of piercing through the veil, and the fog of confusion in order to illuminate our spiritual paths.

This is a time about the Revolution of Spirit. Uranus rules Aquarius, which is Air and Pisces is a Water sign. As Uranus travels through Pisces, we are more concerned with feelings, emotions and compassion than purely living in our heads, as with the Uranus in Aquarius cycle.

Pisces has long been known as the suffering servant, and with Uranus in Pisces, we will learn ways to "detach" from suffering while still being compassionate. Uranus in Pisces will illuminate how we can empathize and feel compassion for the sufferings of others without necessarily ‘taking it on’. However, as the fish are infamous for going in opposite directions, the opposite will also be true, that there will be those who will feel the need to be martyred for the sufferings and injustices of others. This is a Piscean Age syndrome, which we will all outgrow collectively as we are fully immersed into the Aquarian Age. This trend will continue when Neptune travels through Pisces (April 5, 2011 – March 31, 2025).

The Age of Spiritual Science Emerges

While Uranus transits through Pisces, Neptune the ruler of Pisces will continue its transit through Aquarius creating a "Mutual Reception". A mutual reception is when 2 planets transit through eachother’s signs and work interchangeably with one another and can be seen as one, kind of like a "Corporate Merger". When Uranus and Neptune pair up and work hand in hand, spiritual and scientific breakthroughs transpire that bridges the gap between spirit and science. Cloning will take off, and with Pluto traveling through it’s later degrees of Sagittarius, the discussion about ethics and morality will continue, but will not affect its progress. Pisces is one of the signs of duality, and rules mutations, so we will also see more multiple births, more twins being born both naturally and through in vitro as well as scientific breakthroughs in cloning limbs and organs, as opposed to traditional transplants.

Pisces is the sign that rules hospitals. While Uranus travels through Pisces, hospitals will go through a major revolution. Not only will there be more high tech equipment to equip medical science, but a consciousness shift will take place on administrative levels, and we will see more and more hospitals incorporating "integrative" medicines. The shift from the word "Alternative" therapies to "Integrative" medicine, will begin to produce more understanding cross the board. No longer can the two worlds exist separately, they will find their connection and merge to the benefit of all concerned. Pisces also rules substances, such as drugs. Neptune in Aquarius brought us the legal limited medical use of marijuana. With Uranus in Pisces, we will see a lot of changes in the prescription drug industry. New drugs, new formulas will be on the market that will be considered breakthroughs in medical cures. Some of these are in the making now, but during the Uranus in Pisces seven year transit, we will actually benefit from all the technological milestones that were brainstormed during Uranus in Aquarius.

Pisces also rules prisons, imprisonment and criminals. There will be revolutionary changes in our prison systems that may create a lot of controversy within legislature and law enforcement. Remember the old ways are dissipating, we need to embrace the future by daring to be different in order to break out and bust systems that no longer serve the new paradigm. One way or the other we can expect this area to be stirred up while Uranus passes through Pisces.

During the mutual reception of Uranus and Neptune, technology will continue to expand in ways we still can’t imagine, by blending technology and energy fields together. There will still be the influence of that "nebulous" Neptune in the sign of the technology (Aquarius) and "shocking" Uranus in elusive Pisces, we can expect more new-fangled high tech and bio viruses to contend with.

Free Energy and Hydrogen powered cars will replace fossil fuel powered cars. The technology is already here, and this mutual reception will influence a revolution in the fields of Energy, that will finally give these ideas and inventions the attention and respect they deserve, its just a matter of time before that all slots into place. More and more people will have the awareness that the dependency on oil, particularly Middle East oil, is not only detrimental for the environment, but certainly doesn’t augur well towards world peace.

The Age of Spiritual Sciences will emerge now more than ever. Medical Doctors doing Energy Work, Mystics with modems, Psychics with new fangled technology to accurately read auras, Energy Healers with high tech equipment to heal troubled spirits, mend broken hearts, and Psychic Surgeons will all be future trends. Have you ever talked to your computer in frustration and it became worse, or left it and then came back to it when you were in a better mood and got it to work properly? The understanding that technology and spirit are all connected will no longer be considered wacky.

The Age of Aquarius is the Age of Energy

The coming transits of Uranus in Pisces in mutual reception with Neptune in Aquarius will create major leaps of consciousness and an even deeper immersion into the truths of the new age. Everyone will be either studying and becoming increasingly aware of energy fields. People who normally don’t see auras will start to see lights around things. People who normally don’t hear animal telepathy, will suddenly begin to hear their dog or cat talking to them. Those who are not used to this will feel like either they’re hearing voices, they’re being haunted, and/or they’re going nuts. They may feel like they’re the only one hearing voices or seeing auras, but they are not, it is just the veil thinning.

Expect things to get weird before they get clear. That's a Piscean thing. The next 7 years, Uranus will revolutionize all the old unresolved issues pending for us to complete the Piscean Age and become spiritually ready to step into a new era. The outcome of the Piscean Age is designed to bring about the collective evolution of Compassion and Cosmic Consciousness. That's the goal of our Evolution as Spirits through the Precession of the Equinoxes.

The Pisces Pea Soup

Uranus will align with Mars in Pisces this summer which indicates a revolution over belief systems. Mars in retrograde conjunct Uranus and Mars squaring Pluto are classic war aspects. It represents old stuff coming up to be dealt with in a kind of ‘once and for all’ drama. Mars conjunct Uranus can produce sudden violence and unexpected accidents. Pisces is a water sign but also rules over ‘substances’ of all kinds, e.g., oil, gases, chemicals, drugs, viruses and weird diseases like Aids. Yes, the possibility of a biological and chemical attack is a real threat during this transit.

Pisces also rules vampires. There’s an old saying amongst astrologers, that when the moon goes into Pisces, watch out, that’s when all the psychic vampires come out. This means that people are looking for a shoulder to cry on. Misery loves company after all, but what some people really want is energy. Sometimes, people are genuinely in need of a sympathetic ear, but others just want your energy, they want to suck you dry. This is also a Piscean thing. So when Uranus transits through Pisces, we can expect this aspect of how people relate to one another, to be changed, there will be an increasing awareness of another’s "space" and "energy fields", and as a result of this growing awareness of energy fields, this kind of psychic vampirism will begin to get thwarted and exposed for what it is. More often than not, this is always an unconscious thing, and more often than not, it relates to entity attachment, which will be another dimension of growing awareness over the next 7 years.

Aquarius is about space. My space, your space, outer space, etc. It’s an air sign. It’s all about the awareness of space. It rules the laws of Physics, Psychic space, mental, emotional and physical space. Aquarius teaches us detachment from the Pisces Pea Soup of emotional dramas and entanglements.

Those involved in the healing arts will be kept very busy. Therapists and support groups will thrive. Those who can remain very grounded while many are being swept away by a tide of emotions, will be the ones other turn to for respite.

It is time to own ones energy, by becoming responsible for your Self, is essentially the only way we can be true co-creators with the divine. In order to create your own destiny, you need to own it. The old Piscean victim consciousness gets zapped by the Uranian bolt of light, that illuminates the truth within one’s being, that is that in order to be in one’s power, one needs to own it, and by owning it, one can not continue to blame everyone else for their predicaments. This is a very hard step to take towards maturity and evolution, because denial (another Piscean thing – aka the 12^th house of undoing) is so much easier, so much more comfortable, and let’s face it, who really wants to face their shadows and say, oh, you mean that’s me? But as Carl Jung discovered that our shadows hold our ‘lost power’, and in order for us to be fully empowered beings, we must own what’s there, and transform the repression and denial into creative energy. That’s essentially how we become creators of our reality and not denials of our reality.

Pisces also is the sign of sacrifice. The Age of Pisces began with the life and times of Jesus Christ who according to history made a huge sacrifice for human kind. (aka the sacrificial lamb) It’s been called the Age of Sorrows, hence its also known as the Age of the Saints. People were martyred left and right for having a relationship with the Divine. In medieval times, people were beheaded for hearing voices and seeing Mother Mary or Jesus or anyone else. So, while we may come to a stage in our evolution where are ready to shake off the ‘victim consciousness’, people will always choose to sacrifice something in order to get something better. This will come up during the Uranus in Pisces transit for better or for worse.

Do classic war aspects have to manifest themselves as war and violence? Not necessarily, as all aspects can be used for transformation, transmutation, healing and empowerment. But it all depends on the state of mind that one is in, whether it be individually, or the level of evolution of consciousness that critical mass is in at that time. Unfortunately, there are groups of people that are living in states of fear, anger and revenge. Others are working hard towards being the light, bringing in more light, healing themselves and others and holding the vibration of peace for their worlds and for the planet. So, if war breaks out, does that mean that their work has been in vain? Absolutely Not! There is a cosmic law that says that every wish must find fulfillment. Whether that be in a parallel universe or actually manifesting one’s heart desire right here on the planet of duality – "Earth"… it will, nevertheless have it’s time.

FYI ~ What makes a classic war aspect? For centuries, Royalty would consult Astrologers for the best times to go to war. These times have all been recorded historically. When we see these patterns repeat themselves, we call them classic war aspects.

The other interesting aspect that comes up when Mars retrogrades, are people and countries that have heavy duty Mars aspects in them already seem to get triggered. The chart of North Korea has Mars in Scorpio conjunct it’s South Node, which represents it’s own self undoing. A lot of secretive stuff going on there along with major fear, rage and resentment issues. Watch out, when that chart gets triggered! Unfortunately, North Korea’s Mars quincunxes the United States’ Mars which potentially could be a volatile situation. Pluto in Sagittarius is now opposing the United States’ Mars in Gemini bringing the "shadow" side out into the open, and the drums of war beat for the United States, whether it be their obsession (ruled by Pluto) to topple the Iraqi government, or defend themselves against an even greater threat? That remains to be seen. Remember we not only have Uranus conjunct Mars in the Global Soup, but Mars will square Pluto at the end of November of 2003 , and we need to expect the unexpected when looking to see how these energies will play out on the world stage.

Love is All You Need

Water signs are known for their great capacity to "feel" love, empathy and compassion. Water in Astrology rules emotions, intuition, psychic receptivity. The 3 Water signs are Pisces, Cancer & Scorpio. This means that both Saturn and Uranus while in water signs, will be making very good aspects to each other creating the energy field for the awareness of Love and Compassion. There will be a resurgence of love stories emerging within our culture, through film, television and books. Movies depicting the glorification of violence for violence sake will become so discordant, like nails scratching on a blackboard, the trend will move more towards film depicting heroes, saints and lovers, regardless of what time line they take place in. Both Pisces and Cancer are signs that are associated with the past. Cancer loves its history and Pisces rules past lives and their memories, so we can expect to see more ‘period pieces’ packed with human drama. Uranus, however rules the future, so films that are futuristic, science fiction type scripts will continue to thrive if the plot and the human side of it is packed with lots of drama and riveting emotion. That’s the Pisces energy.

Uranus in Pisces will make "happy" aspects to Saturn in Cancer, assisting Saturn with it’s lightening bolt like energy to breakthrough blocks towards ‘feeling’ love. Pisces is the sign of the Dream and the Nightmare. When receiving positive aspects from Saturn, it could be a time when dreams comes true for many. It could also be a time, when many realize their worst nightmares. It all depends on what frequency you’ve been vibrating on. There are basically two emotions in the universe, Love and Fear. We are constantly creating and re-creating our realities all the time.

Many talk about ‘Love’, many idealize about it but now it’s time to ‘feel’ it. This includes all aspects of love, from the mushy gooshy warm and fuzzy feelings we feel with our children and companion animals, to platonic love we have with friends and acquaintances, to the romantic soul-mate kind of love, to the agape kind of unconditional love, it’s the full gamut. Dramas are created in order for us to play out different sides of ourselves. This is why movies are so popular, because many can escape into the world of fantasy (Pisces) and live vicariously through the characters and in doing so, work out different feelings and emotions that they may not have the opportunity to do in their ‘normal’ lives.

Uranus in Pisces is going to jolt the collective consciousness into the realization that we are never alone, and we are all connected to a common ‘one-ness’ that binds us all together. This is a good time to remind ourselves that, on a spiritual level, individuality is just another illusion. One lesson we can each learn is that we are all like Fish, sharing a common ocean of consciousness, and just as every drop of water effects the whole ocean, every thoughtform effects the collective consciousness which essentially is the Mind of God.

The Age of the Guru is Over

Another big lesson comes out of the Age of Pisces, and that is the Age of the Guru is over. We will all collectively learn that it no longer serves us to give our power away to religious leaders, yes, we all need teachers, they are invaluable to our evolutions, yes, we all need leaders to guide us, it’s part of human development, but to worship and give up your power and energy to another in the name of god and religion will become a thing of the past. This also includes the type of political regimes and dictatorships that rule and basically rape and strip humans of their divine right to be and think for themselves.

I remember Deepak Chopra in an interview on Larry King responded when asked how he felt about being a "New Age Guru". He said, "I’m just as much a guru as you are," and then he spelled out the word GURU – GEE, YOU, ARE, YOU!

It’s all about becoming self-actualized, realizing that you are a Divine spark in the Mind of God. The Age of Aquarius is about connectedness, the realization of one-ness and unity. Aquarius is an Air sign, it rules telepathy. We are seeing telepathy become stronger and stronger, more and more. This is the reason we do emails. Emails are like training wheels on a bicycle. Don’t you feel it? Don’t you know when you get a message from someone you’re thinking about? You think about them and then you pull down your emails and lo and behold, they emailed you. Now how about that! That’s telepathy. Eventually we won’t need to send someone a message via the computer, we will be able to communicate telepathically with eachother. That’s how it’s done in heaven. We are in effect creating Heaven on Earth. That’s how many ET races do it, that’s essentially how animals communicate with one another.

Expect to see more of this, you may think to yourself, oh it’s just a hunch, but what you’re experiencing is telepathy with another divine spark. Aquarius rules electricity and light. The only thing that travels faster than the speed of light in the universe is thought. As a man thinketh, so he is. It’s all God, you, me, us and them. We are God’s eyes, ears, mouth piece, and hands and heart. Telepathy is the oldest form of communication in the universe. It’s just us humans that seem to be lagging behind on the ladder of evolution…well, we’ll get it eventually. Don’t throw away your computers just yet :).
