A Moon Wobble occurs every 86.5 days when the Sun is conjunct or square the Lunar Nodes and are about 3 weeks in duration. They usually begin 2 weeks before and last 1 week after the exact event (Sun conjunct or square the Nodes in the heavens), however can extend out longer if coupled with a Solar Wobble. Moon Wobbles get their name from exactly that, the moon wobbling. As the moon revolves around Earth, it doesn't remain in the same plane as it orbits this planet. The Moon moves in a sign-wave sort-of action above and below Earth's Equator and plane of orbit. [A sign-wave is two bell shaped curves next to each other, one above an axis and another below the same axis.] The Moon's movement can vary up to 5 or more degrees above and below the plane of Earth's orbit which is also called the ecliptic. This sign-wave motion creates the mathematical points called Lunar Nodes. The Lunar Nodes also rotate around Earth in a 19.5 year cycle. We have almost 4 Moon Wobbles a year, but it takes 19.5 years for a Moon Wobble to be repeated again in the same sign and configuration with the Lunar Nodes. The signs they are in will differentiate the types of events and energies that occur. Moon Wobbles release suppressed energies in people and in nature. The extent to which the energy has been suppressed is equal to how forcefully it comes out. Everyone is affected by Moon Wobbles, however, on a personal level, if your chart is triggered by a Moon Wobble it indicates you are going through major changes. Remember, all cycles ultimately serve our growth if we will work with the cycle instead of against it. People feel more restless and are more likely to over-react to problems. Moon Wobble when difficulties arise Carl Payne Tobey the distinguished Astrologer, Mathematician, Teacher and Writer from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's discovered the Moon Wobble phenomenon, and Carl Payne Tobey did it without the aid of a computer. Actually, the mathematical study of statistics is what gave Tobey the answer. Tobey was the original editor of Astrology Magazine. He found Moon Wobbles to be associated with disasters. He discovered that these powerful energy cycles always occur when the transiting Sun makes contact with the Lunar Nodes...the Nodes are where the orbit of the Moon intersects the orbit of the Earth around the Sun. There may be 3 to 4 Moon Wobbles a year; lasting about three weeks. Ancient Astrologers associated the beginnings and ends of wars, major battles, mine explosions and animal stampedes with Solar and Lunar Eclipses. These two types of Eclipses can only happen about 2 weeks a part every 6 months. Carl Payne Tobey discovered that disasters happened about every 3 months and correlated to the geometric and mathematical square to the possible Eclipse points. Studies from ancient astrology gave Tobey the idea that there was a possible correlation between deadly disasters to eclipses. Tobey found that large numbers of deaths occurred in disasters at a mathematical point that was square to the Lunar Nodes giving proof to a deadly cycle. Tobey named this cycle Moon Wobbles because of the physical actions of the Moon. Moon Wobbles get their name from the Moon wavering in its orbit as it revolves around the Earth. The Moon is constantly moving in a wave sort of course above and below the Earth's equator and its plane of orbit. The Moon's path can vary up to 5+ degrees above and below the Earth's orbit plane. Tobey noticed that potentially deadly conditions were related to the conjunction as well as to the square to these Lunar Nodes. Moon Wobbles also show that Geometry and pure Mathematics is relevant to Astrology, Astronomy, and Science because both the Lunar Nodes and Moon Wobbles are nothing but calculated Mathematical points. But major events on Earth usually happen in relationship to these Mathematical points.
